On Friday 25 September and 2 October 2020, the last two seminars dedicated to constitutional review were held as part of the online seminar programme between the Romanian Constitutional Court and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova.
At the seminar of 25 September 2020, Dr Teodor Papuc, Deputy Secretary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova, presented the paper Can also the test of less restrictive interference be included in horizontal protection of fundamental rights?, while Mr Dumitru Avornic, judicial assistant, described the effects of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova.
At the seminar of 2 October 2020, Dr Benke Károly, assistant-magistrate-in-chief of the Constitutional Court of Romania, presented the effects of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Romania.
In closing the programme of webinars, both sides appreciated the usefulness and necessity of the constitutional dialogue between the assistant magistrates of the Constitutional Court of Romania and the judicial assistants of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova. Both sides therefore agreed to continue these webinars, with presentations that would focus on disseminating solutions of principle resulting from the jurisprudence of the two constitutional courts.
