During the sitting of 14 January 2021, the Constitutional Court ruled, within the constitutional review of the Parliaments decisions, on the referral of unconstitutionality of the Chamber of Deputies Decision No 71/2020 for the election of the President of the Chamber of Deputies, objection formulated by the Parliamentary Group of The Alliance for the Unity of Romanians.
Following deliberations, the Court, by a majority vote, dismissed the referral as unfounded.
The decision is final and generally binding.
