At the hearing of 9 March 2022, the Constitutional Court, in the context of the review of laws prior to promulgation, unanimously decided:
– dismissed, as unfounded, the objection of unconstitutionality formulated by a number of 54 Deputies and by 26 Senators belonging to the parliamentary group of the Save Romania Union and found that the provisions of Articles 3-6, Articles 8-10 and Article 12 of the Law on the dismantling of the Section for investigating criminal offences within the judiciary, as well as for the amendment of Law No 135/2010 on the Criminal Procedure Code, as well as the law as a whole, were constitutional in relation to the criticisms made;
– dismissed, as inadmissible, the objection of unconstitutionality of the Law on the dismantling of the Section for investigating criminal offences within the judiciary, as well as for the amendment of Law No 135/2010 on the Criminal Procedure Code, objection formulated by a number of 35 Deputies belonging to the parliamentary groups of the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians and of the Social Democratic Party, as well as by 5 Senators belonging to the parliamentary group of the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians.
