Born on 21 April 1963, in the city of Satu Mare.
Graduate of the Faculty of Law of the “Babeș-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca (1986).
Doctor of Legal Sciences, speciality Constitutional Law (2006). Doctoral thesis on the “Constitutionality of the legislative process”.
Teaching career:
Assistant professor at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, the Satu Mare University Extension within the “Babeș-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca (since 1998).
Associate professor at the Sapientia University of Cluj-Napoca, the Faculty of Sciences and Arts, the Department of Legal Sciences (since 2011).
Professional activity:
1986-1990: Legal counsel at various economic entities.
In the legislatures of 1990, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008: elected Deputy for the Satu Mare constituency.
2001-2003: Secretary of the parliamentary Committee for Drafting the Law on the Revision of the Romanian Constitution.
Author of five volumes (textbooks and monographs) and more than 50 scientific papers.
Awarded the National Order of Merit in degree of Knight (2002).
