I. At the hearing of 19 January 2022, the Constitutional Court, as part of the review of the laws prior to promulgation, unanimously:
– dismissed, as unfounded the objection of unconstitutionality raised by the President of Romania and found that the Law amending and supplementing Article 13 of Government Emergency Ordinance No 77/2009 on the organisation and operation of games of chance and supplementing the Article 20 ind.2 (3) of the Law No 69/2000 on physical education and sport was constitutional in the light of the complaints made.
– dismissed, as unfounded the objection of unconstitutionality raised by the Government of Romania and found that the provisions of Article 24 ind.1 (5), introduced by Article I (2) of the Law on the supplementation of Government Emergency Ordinance No 195/2002 on public roads were constitutional in the light of the complaints set out.

II. On the referral of unconstitutionality of Parliament’s Resolution No 49/2021 on the appointment of a member of the Regulatory Board of the National Energy Regulatory Authority, submitted by the leader of the Parliamentary Group of the Union Save Romania Party, the Constitutional Court postponed the debate to 23 February 2022.
